stippling. is. tedious. >.>
(stippling=drawing using lots of little dots)
I did this completely in sharpie :O
and you'll see some wierd colors because I was using a technique from art class. wow, my art teacher uses me or my stuff as an example (a good example) pretty much every day. even though I'm drawing the joker and not, like... apples and stuff. but this is a good thing! ^_~

This technique is very difficult and hard to find on arts about Joker and stuff, so I think that your work is good!!!!!

umm..well
when you do that, instead of leaving those spaces between the dots, you could put dots of a lighter shade. like if you had dark blue, you could fill in the spaces with light blue...

it miiiiight give it a better effect. just trying to help. it might make it blend better...unlessw you don't want it to. i still think its really good, though.

Very impressive. I've used stippling now and then and it requires a lot of patience and time to get it done and done right. The stippling gives it a different look from other drawings. I especially like the light to dark shading on the hair and coat.

thank you >.> yes, it takes SO MUCH patience and time! I had to pull out my sketchbook and navy blue sharpie constantly to get that background finished

well, the point of stippling is to create that lighter shade of blue (or whatever color) by putting more space between each dot :D but thank you
